1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using MyWork ("Platform", "Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use our Platform.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Teen Users

  • Must be between 13 and 19 years of age
  • Must have parental or guardian consent if under 18
  • Must comply with all applicable child labor laws
  • Must provide accurate age and personal information

2.2 Employer Users

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must represent a legitimate business or organization
  • Must comply with all applicable employment laws
  • Must post only age-appropriate and legal job opportunities

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account information updated.

3.2 Account Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
  • We are not liable for any loss or damage from your failure to maintain account security

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

4. Platform Usage

4.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Platform to:

  • Search and apply for job opportunities (Teen Users)
  • Post job listings and review applications (Employer Users)
  • Communicate with other users regarding job opportunities
  • Build and maintain your profile

4.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Post jobs that violate child labor laws or are inappropriate for teens
  • Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other users' accounts
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Scrape, spider, or data mine the Platform
  • Use automated systems to access the Platform without permission

5. Job Postings and Applications

5.1 Employer Responsibilities

Employers agree to:

  • Post only legitimate job opportunities
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Ensure jobs are appropriate for teen workers (ages 13-19)
  • Provide accurate job descriptions, requirements, and compensation
  • Not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected class
  • Handle applicant information confidentially and professionally

5.2 Teen User Responsibilities

Teen users agree to:

  • Provide accurate information in job applications
  • Only apply for jobs they are qualified for and legally able to perform
  • Communicate professionally with potential employers
  • Comply with all applicable work permit and labor law requirements

5.3 Platform Role

MyWork acts solely as a platform connecting teens with employers. We:

  • Do not guarantee job placement or hiring
  • Are not a party to any employment relationship
  • Do not conduct background checks on employers or teens (unless specifically stated)
  • Are not responsible for the conduct of users off the Platform

6. Content and Intellectual Property

6.1 User Content

You retain ownership of content you post (resumes, job listings, etc.). By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with operating the Platform.

6.2 Platform Content

All Platform content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to design, text, graphics, logos, and software) are owned by MyWork and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6.3 Prohibited Content

You may not post content that:

  • Is illegal, harmful, or violates any laws
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Contains personal information of others without consent
  • Is defamatory, obscene, or offensive
  • Contains viruses or malicious code

7. Payments and Fees

MyWork is currently free for both teen users and employers. We reserve the right to introduce fees for certain services in the future with advance notice to users.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

9.1 Platform "As Is"

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of content

9.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyWork shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
  • Damages resulting from employment relationships formed through the Platform
  • Conduct of users, whether online or offline
  • Any third-party content or conduct

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MyWork, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Platform
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
  • Employment relationships formed through the Platform

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11.2 Arbitration

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for violations of intellectual property rights.

11.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on the Platform and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement
